Commercial mediation (resolving disputes between legal entities, legal entities and their clients, individuals in settling property disputes, protecting consumer rights, etc.)

There are some standard rules apply to the initiation of the process and its implementation at the UMC. In addition, when conducting commercial mediation, the following information is provided in writing to the сertificate on the basis of the dispute (Step 6):

1. The names, addresses, fax numbers, e-mail addresses of the parties to the dispute, as well as their authorized persons, if any;
2. A description of the dispute, including, where possible, its cost estimate;
3. The name of the mediator who will lead the process;
4. Copy of the document on payment of the organizational contribution.

At the stage of contracting, the parties may consider mediation as a pre-litigation way of resolving the dispute. To this end, appropriate mediation caveats should be made in the contract.

Family mediation

1. The parties decide to participate in mediation during or after a coordination meeting (consultation) with a representative of the UMC;
2. In case of reaching an agreement on mediation with both parties, an agreement is signed between the UMC and the parties, in which, among others, the issue of cost of the service and the distribution of responsibilities for its payment are also specified, as well as a list of topics that are submitted for mediation. The other organizational issues related to mediation are also resolved;
3. Meetings of the parties with the mediator are held in a series of short-term (up to 3 hours) meetings.
   
   Other types of mediation*

• Mediation in the organization (between employees);
• Labor disputes and conflicts (including those related to signing of the Collective Agreements);
• Corporate disputes and conflicts (between founders, shareholders and the executive body, the Board of Directors, etc.).
